Urban Design Committee Meeting

Join the AIA Denver Urban Design Committee every third Wednesday of the month from 7:30 - 9 a.m. at AIA Colorado (303 E. 17th Ave., Denver, CO 80203). The UDC focuses on being a community resource of expertise to assist in reviewing the development of designs involving local and regional urban issues. 


The committee assists the chapter in taking positions on key issues affecting Denver, surrounding municipalities and its architects.

Government Affairs Committee Meeting

The AIA Colorado Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is primarily involved in state legislative activities and educating legislators on issues that are important to architects. As we embark on legislative season, the committee would like to invite new members to join in on the discussion.

Colorado Sustainability Conference

Be a part of one of the most dynamic conferences in Colorado. The Colorado Sustainability Conference, Oct. 31 - Nov. 1, at the Hotel Elegante Conference and Expo Center (The Crowne Plaza Hotel) in Colorado Springs, Colo. AIA Colorado North (Boulder) Eat and Educate: Energy Modeling Overview

Join AIA Colorado North (Boulder) from noon – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, for Energy Modeling Overview, an Eat and Educate presented by The RMH Group, Inc. The program will take place at the YWCA of Boulder County in the Upstairs Classroom (2222 14th St., Boulder, CO 80302). 

Attendees can earn 1.0 AIA HSW continuing education Learning Unit (LU). Under the state of Colorado's rules for continuing education for state licensure renewal, this program should meet the requirements for 1.0 HSW CEH.

This presentation is meant to inform architects, contractors, and other non-engineering disciplines about how to use an energy model. The attendee should have basic knowledge about the design and construction processes. The presentation will focus on how to find a qualified energy modeler, how to use the model to maximize the design's energy savings, when to start the model, who should be involved in the modeling process, and much more!

This program is free for all AIA Colorado North members and lunch will be provided by The RMH Group, Inc.
